My adventuring party
My adventuring party consists of a wizard who’s mostly good at sneaking and running away, a cold-blooded killer thief, a bounty hunter who prefers non-lethal means, and to top it all off, a former detective who believes in following the law except when it’s unjust.
I am the wizard, of course. My previous vocation was in “document retrieval”: running “search queries” on “embedded datasets” for people who needed hard-to-get information and were willing to pay a little bit extra for my discretion.
It’s a good crew. We have already committed a jailbreak, a sting, a stakeout, and an ambush. Much of the fun is in arguing about our various plans. A small amount of fun in combat. Then the remainder of fun is in arguing whether to kill people, take them prisoner, or interrogate.
I like the part where I gather information. Tonight I used three overlapping alarm spells to triangulate the entrance and exit of the creatures we were staking out, as they took the bait. After roughly 30 minutes of discussion of whether we should blow them up or trap them, ofc.
