I see this sentiment a lot but it’s ridiculous.
We are not chimpanzees, we are human beings. We have language and tools and complicated societies. That’s why we don’t live in small bands of shit-flinging, bug-eating pettiness and drama.

In fact, it’s absurd that we have the nations and borders that we have now. We govern the planet’s climate, its very atmosphere, through our actions. Part of the reason they’re fucked is because everyone wants to pretend like we don’t.
We are literally all connected
We live in a planetary society. We have a planetary computer network that lets us communicate and sends things all over the planet in real time. We use that planetary computer network to predict and model the biosphere and its climate. We have to coordinate as a planet now
